Chicken Marinated in Ginger — Le Vif Atlantique
Ginger and garlic have always been central to Cape Verdean cuisine. Célia has combined them in a creamy sauce that transforms a simple chicken dish into a memorable meal.
Ingredients for 4 people
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons of ginger — Le Vif Atlantique
- Juice of one lemon
- Olive oil · Salt · Pepper
Preparation: Mix the ginger with the lemon juice and a drizzle of olive oil. Generously brush the mixture over the chicken pieces. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes—ideally overnight in the refrigerator. Bake in the oven at 200°C for 45 minutes or cook on the grill. Serve with white rice and a green salad.
